For the alleged use of sexual harassment through lewd expressions, a teacher of the Medicine career at the Cajeme campus of the University of Sonora was denounced.

The complaint was made through Twitter by a student who identifies himself as AxelGom2000 in a “thread” of messages.

The first message states:

“Today a doctor from the University of Sonora Campus Cajeme proceeded to make a stupid and out of place comment saying “Whoever falls asleep I rape him”, right after the same doctor told a colleague “Don’t fall asleep doctor, I don’t have a condom.”

In the following message he comments:

“I believe in the importance of raising our voices so that this type of “professionals” should not provide education to students; it is inadmissible that someone who joked about sexual abuse is a teacher at @SoyUnison.”

Add in the second message:

“If we let people like that continue to teach…we won’t be able to end bullying in academic and hospital settings.

Within the medical school there have already been several cases of harassment by teachers of female students and little action has been seen in these cases.

“It is necessary to stop being defenseless against the abuse of authority by teachers who make comments soaked in psychological violence towards students, without fear that they will have any retaliation.

Another medical student assured that this complaint is based on similar comments made by other students.
