On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of ‘Age of Empires’one of the most popular franchises in the gaming on PC, different things related to the saga were announced. One of them is the launch of ‘Age of Mythology Retold’representing the return of the homonymous parentage title of ‘AoE’.

In ‘Age of Mythology’, historical events were left aside to unleash magic, powers, heroes and gods from the Greek, Egyptian and Norse pantheons.

The preview presented only shows some scenarios, mainly Greek, that herald the arrival of this next installment. However, still there is no release datenor compatible platforms, it will surely be available on PC, but we can’t download its launch on Xbox and mobile after the announcement of ‘Age of Empires II’ and ‘IV’ to consoles.

In addition, the launch of ‘Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition’ for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

A necessary remaster

In the form of a remaster, ‘Age of Mythologhy Retold’ will arrive with improvements in graphics and fixes in the gameplay of this title, first published during 2002, two decades ago. This title had been left aside for a long time, despite being a widely remembered installment among fans of the saga.

Thanks to his flexibility in the way he told stories and approached myths, we were able to control armies of “fantastic creatures”, as were centaurs, dragons or giant scorpions. It had a single campaign and two DLCs that included a different civilization each.

The first of these expansions came just a year after its release and added to the atlantiswhile ┬┤the second was released until 2015, the year in which the last update was given to the title, incorporating China.
