The Russian President Vladimir Putinhe warned his French counterpart this Sunday Emmanuel Macron about the “catastrophic consequences” of the attacks against the Ukrainian Central Zaporizhia, the largest in Europe and occupied by Russian forces, the Kremlin said.

During a telephone conversation with Macron, Vladimir Putin drew attention to the “Ukrainian regular attacks on the sites of the Zaporizhia power plantincluding the radioactive waste repositorywhich could lead to catastrophic consequences,” according to a Kremlin statement.

The russian president also informed his French counterpart of the “measures taken by Russian specialists to ensure plant security and underlined the need to put pressure on the kyiv authorities to immediately cease the bombings against the central of Zaporizhia“.
