“Obsessed” man murders his ex-girlfriend in front of her 8-year-old daughter and then commits suicide | News from Mexico

An “obsessed” ex-boyfriend shot dead his former partner in front of her 8-year-old daughter outside the Texas Children’s Hospital and then committed suicideofficials and the victim’s family reported.

The tragedy took place shortly after noon on Sunday, when the mother, the shooter and the girl were arriving in a car at the Houston medical center.

Police found the 32-year-old woman, whom the family identified as Kenya Osorioshot to death inside the vehicle next to the corpse of her ex-boyfriendwhose name has not been identified.

The terrified 8-year-old girl was thankfully uninjured and was found in the back seat.

fatal obsession

Osorio’s family told the station ABC13 that the boyfriend was obsessed with the victim and that he was angry that she had made things right with her husband, whom she wanted to get back together with.

As far as we know, he became very obsessed because she decided to fix things with her husband and go back to him,” said Carlos Rivera, Osorio’s brother.

According to a preliminary investigation, Osorio and the man were traveling in a car to the hospital to seek medical attention for the woman’s daughter, reported Fox 26. When they pulled into the parking lot of the West Campusthe man supposedly he shot Osorio when she was trying to get out of the car and then he pointed himself in the front passenger seat.

A wound difficult to heal

The woman’s daughter was sitting in the back seat when it all happened and, although she was not physically injured, her family says it has not been easy for her to deal with the trauma.

It all happened in front of my niece. I’m sure it’s hard for her to deal with it,” Rivera said.

Osorio’s family said the 32-year-old woman was married but had been divorcing her husband. During their separation from her, a few months after the tragedy, she began dating the man who murdered her.

However, Osorio and his ex-spouse recently decided to patch things up and stay in the marriage for the sake of their two children.

The victim’s daughter and son are now in the care of their distraught father and they will have to live with the horrible tragedy of their mother for all their lives.
