MIUI 14: release date, requirements and compatible Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones – Xiaomi News

MIUI 14 has been presented along with a significant number of internal news. Thanks to the use of MIUI’s new Photon engine, Xiaomi guarantees a much more fluid system, as well as energy savings of up to 22%.

In addition, MIUI 14 continues to improve privacy and security, further incorporating a new user interface, which offers us new widgets for the desktop, as well as new icons of variable size and functions.

MIUI 14, minimum requirements and compatible mobiles

As usual, Xiaomi has confirmed the first list of devices compatible with MIUI 14making it clear that it will not be a matter of minimum requirementsbut rather old.

In this way, MIUI 14 will begin its deployment (First in China) from January 2023:

  • first batch: Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, Xiaomi 12S Ultra, Xiaomi 12S Pro, Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12 Pro Dimensity, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12, Redmi K50 Ultra, Redmi K50 Gaming, Redmi K50 Pro, Redmi K50. (Note: Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 have built-in MIUI 14.)

After completing this first batch, The company details a second and third deployment, of which its start date will be confirmed shortly. Likewise, an Update Plan for tablets is also detailed, which will begin from April 2023:

  • Tablet upgrade plan: Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 5, Redmi Pad.

It should be noted that this list refers to the Chinese ROM of MIUI 14, guiding us to some extent when the update for the European ROM and Global ROM of MIUI 14 will be released (the international presentation could take place in early 2023).
