McDonald’s confirms the name of the new character of Super Mario Bros.: The Movie

Here again comes a great compilation related to one of the most beloved franchises by nintenderos. It is actually about Super Mario and his movie.

You already know Nintendo offered a first Nintendo Direct of its film with the first teaser trailer of it, available in Castilian and Latin Spanish. Then a second Nintendo Direct has been shared with another trailer that also you can see in these languages. And now we get more news.

This is the confirmation of the name of the new character filtered through toys of McDonald’s from this movie. It is effectively the Gluttonous Flash that will appear on the tape. For now it has not been shown in the trailers, but it will have his own figure.

Now, through the official website of McDonald’s Chile and the country’s own stores, which are already giving away the toys, we know what this character is called. his name is lumaleeat least in English and Latin Spanish.

The movie

The film is co-financed by Universal Pictures and Nintendo and features striking voice actors for Mario (Chris Pratt), Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), Luigi (Charlie Day), Bowser (Jack Black), Toad (Keegan-Michael Key ), Donkey Kong (Seth Rogen), Cranky Kong (Fred Armisen), Kamek (Kevin Michael Richardson) and Spike (Sebastian Maniscalco).

The film is being produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto, directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, who previously collaborated on the Teen Titans Go! The film’s script is being written by Matthew Fogel, who worked on The LEGO Movie 2 and the Illumination Minions Movie: Rise of Gru.

In addition, recently in stores like Amazon have appeared listings of figures of Mario, Luigi, Toad Y Bowser. For now there are no images, but these details are offered:

  • They don’t have clear release dates.
  • Its description says: “Premium details and textures. Up to 12 points of hidden articulation. Includes movie accessory. Comes in collector’s box. Suggested for children 3 years and older”
  • They are 5 inches tall (about 12 centimeters) except Bowser’s, which is 9 inches (about 23 centimeters).
