Jeanologia adds in 2021. The Valencian company, specializing in machinery and technology for denim finishing, ended the year with its sales on the rise and its profit shooting up, according to the accounts deposited in the Mercantile Registry and collected by Valencia Square.

In the financial year, Jeanologia’s income stood at 62.5 million euros, 5% more than in the same period of the previous year. The benefit, for its part, went from 4.2 million euros to 16 million euros.

The company explained that the result is due to the recovery of the textile industry after the pandemic, which has returned to normal production levels, although it has not yet reached the levels of before the coronavirus crisis.

“The improvement experienced in the operating result has allowed the company to return all the financing requested in the previous year in precaution of the possible restrictive effects that the pandemic could cause on its liquidity,” the company says. In the exercise, in addition, Jenealogia has reestablished the balance of its subsidiary in Italy, which in 2020 recorded extraordinary losses of 3.6 million euros.

According to the company, in 2021 it has improved its ECO line product offering and has launched a new technology that allows a drastic reduction in the environmental impact of dyeing processes, while expanding the application framework beyond the garments of denim.

In parallel, in 2021 Jeanologia also launched another laser technology to automate finishing. “We hope that it will have a positive impact for the group in the coming years, with a highly competitive and financially self-sufficient production unit in Italy, with the capacity to increase the group’s commitment to transforming the textile industry into a fully sustainable industry,” adds the business.

About the upcoming exercises, Jeanologia highlights that “it is aware of the current economic situation”although he assures that his position in the market will allow him to “reduce the possible negative effects”.

The company’s strategy for the coming years is to expand and modernize its production structure and research into new products to enable an increase in turnover and profit.

Founded in 1993, Jeanologia was born as a consultant specializing in denim finishing and later began manufacturing textile machinery. At the head of the company is Enrique Silla.
