The QUAES Biomedical Institute (IBQUAES) is the first European health training school specialized in Diagnostic Imaging, Nuclear Medicine and Genetics. In this last field, and thanks to the impulse of Ascires Biomedical Groupstudents are provided with the most avant-garde skills so that they are trained to work in a real environment and can develop the predictive medicinethe future of health systems.
Not surprisingly, Ascires has more than 20 years of experience in Genetic Medicine and around 60 years in Diagnostic Imaging, where medical and genetic criteria have been combined to establish individualized diagnoses and treatments for diseases from different medical specialties.
At IBQUAES, one of the training lines is genetics and there are numerous courses offered in this area, such as Cardiogenetics, Genetic Aortic Pathology or the Laboratory Technician Specialist in Genetics course.
In an interview with ConSalud.es, the head of IBQUAES, Rubén Hinarejos, explains that the educational vision of the center is based on an “eminently practical methodology, even in those courses that are carried out online”. “Students come to IBQUAES with prior training in which, in the vast majority of cases, the practical part has not been addressed in depth,” he points out.
In this sense, the teaching staff, which implements theoretical knowledge from a practical approach, is made up of active professionals. This situation, Hinarejos points out, “makes them able to transfer their day-to-day work, with the most advanced technologies, which will be found in hospitals and diagnostic centers, and learning the latest techniques and the latest diagnostic advances”.

EUROPEAN CREDIT TRANSFER SYSTEM
All the courses of the QUAES Biomedical Institute have approved university accreditation: the well-known ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer System), which is the method adopted by all the universities of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), to guarantee the homogeneity and the quality of studies what are you offering. In addition, they highlight from the entity, many of the formations are endorsed by the most reputable scientific societies in Spain.

The chairs of the QUAES Foundation participate in the design of the IBQUAES training program in the Polytechnic University of Valencia and in the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona. In addition, it is the first European center to have a Diagnostic Imaging simulator to perform magnetic resonance imaging, and a Genomics laboratory equipped with the latest technology, the only one with university accreditation in Spain.
