Finally, after more than a year of waiting, the new MacBook Pro M2 are imminent

The afternoon has cheered us up and Mark Gurman doesn’t want to miss the party. This same afternoon several independent sources have corroborated that tomorrow we were going to have news from Appleand now the editor of Bloomberg has appeared to detail what we are going to see.

And what we are going to see is what many people have been waiting for months and months: new MacBook Pros. They would not change too much on the outside, but inside they would have improvements and new chips.

It’s time for the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips

The new MacBook Pros are imminent (Apple does have an announcement tomorrow – with press briefings later this week and embargoes lifting next Monday). The new Macs arriving early this year first reported here in October https://t.co/P34OdoMRgZ https://t.co/9JlQ0ueBO1

Gurman has even gone so far as to break down what we are going to have:

• Tomorrow, Tuesday, announcement of the news through a press release and updates on the web.
• Sometime after the next day, Apple will convene members of the press to describe what’s new.
• Next Monday the first analyzes will appear, the result of those lucky ones who have signed a confidentiality agreement.

It is expected that the most interesting of the MacBook Pro are the new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, which should be an improvement over its predecessors and perhaps a first look at what 3nm technology can offer. Specifications such as CPU and GPU cores or RAM will improve slightly.

We don’t know if we’ll see more news apart from those MacBook Pros, but even just that laptop will appease many people who have been waiting too long. And who knows, maybe this will make the models with M1 chips continue to be sold but at a lower price.
