Trouble in the locker room All Elite Wrestling They have taken over the specialized news portals in the last week. A fight behind the scenes has caused several suspensions, several spoils and the possible departure of CM Punk, who is again injured.
booker t He talked about this whole situation and highlighted the attitude of some of the people who have command in All Elite Wrestling, including the EVPs and Toni Khan. The former world champion criticized the attitude of fighters like Kenny Omega and The Young Buckswhich create divisions and benefit from it by winning the corresponding titles, in this case the trios.
“It doesn’t look good at all,” Booker T commented on the AEW locker room situation. “I mean, these guys beat everybody. Nobody can beat them. It’s almost ridiculous. Being EVP and then creating a division, and then being the first to win it, what are we doing here? We are just playing. Let’s give ourselves a bonus. Let’s give ourselves a raise. We are EVP. We can do whatever we want”.
“The wrestling business has changed a lot since those times, and I understand it, and the business is going to change. You have to know how to change over time, but many things remain the same. I think one thing that I think has been taken too much out of context is to have respect. Hangman Page said he didn’t take advice from people, you know, stuff like that. When the business starts to go down that road, we’re going to have these kinds of problems on a regular basis because this business has always been about rowing in the same direction at the same time and at the same speed to get to our destination, and that’s doing some money in our pocket”.
Booker T was also hard on CM Punk and called him immature because he is one of the oldest fighters in the locker room, but he does not act that way.
“He’s the oldest guy in the room in this situation here. He should be the most mature in the room. He said it himself, ‘I’m working with a group of kids here.’ It’s true. It means I have to get down to their level in order to bring them down to my level. That’s the way I deal with young people.”
“I don’t blame The Bucks or Hangman or Kenny Omega. If someone tells me ‘if you have a problem with me, come say something,’ that’s what I’m going to do. I understand they have an EVP title that puts them in a certain unique position of authority and it can put them in a position of legal responsibility as well, and I’m sure Tony Khan is thinking that. Can CM Punk sue him? That can happen and I’m sure he will. I don’t blame those guys, but when you have a certain position, you have to be able to handle business. Sometimes you may want to have a meeting, get together with others and talk about this instead of going and kicking the door.”
