Summary AEW Rampage December 9, 2022

AEW Rampage begins with an individual heads up.

Jon Moxley defeats Konosuke Takeshita. The two men start even. “Mox” slaps the DDT man, starting a string of elbows to the head. Konosuke manages to throw him to ringside and crushes the former world champion. The action goes to the public area before the commercial break. Moxley begins to bleed after a kick to the head. He withstands a Suplex and several hits before applying a King Kong Lariat. Jon resists a knee and a Blue Thunderbomb before the Paradigm Shift. Surprisingly, Takeshita gets up on count of one. “Mox” applies pressure to the arm, but his opponent escapes and he is forced to apply elbows behind the head. He manages to put him to sleep with a lock around his neck for victory.


Adam Page He goes out to the ring and confirms that he is not medically cleared to compete. However, he starts a physical altercation with Jon Moxley. Blackpool Combat Club members stop him while AEW staff check on Hangman.

Hikaru Shida defeats The Bunny and retains the Regina di WAVE Championship. Shida starts dominant and leaves her rival on the ground with a Powerslam. The Bunny responds with several elbows to the face before the break. The Bunny almost took the loss, but Penelope Ford threw a Kendo stick to distract the referee. Hikaru escapes from dirty games and applies his Michinoku Driver. He finishes with his Katana for the victory on a count of three.

We watched a short video of mercedes martinez vowing that he will “destroy” Athenea in Final Battle.

Big Bill and Lee Moriarty defeat Izzy James and Clayton Bloston. In a fast-paced confrontation, Lee manages to catch both of his rivals in the keys at the same time. Bill takes over and overwhelms his opponents with brute force. The Firm take the victory with a Chokeslam over Izzy for the victory by count of three.

In a post-Dynamite interview, FTR they promise to end their trilogy with The Briscoes in a Double Dog Collar match.

The British Trent Seven answers Orange Cassidy’s challenge for the Atlantic title!.

Orange Cassidy defeats Trent Seven and retains the AEW Atlantic Championship. Orange high-fives his rival and the referee after dodging the first attack. Trent takes advantage of a distraction from Kip Sabian and applies several Chops to the body of his opponent. Butcher and Blade come out to the ring to push Best Friends away at ringside. Seven throws his rival from the third rope. Orange recovers for a punch to the face, but his opponent catches it and he is forced to reverse into the Slumdog Millionaire. Trent responds with a jump with his Twisted Piledriver. Cassidy manages to apply the Orange Punch and finishes with his Beach Break for the victory.

Kip Sabian attacks Orange Cassidy. dustin rhodes he pounces on Kip and Seven to help Cassidy and close the broadcasts on a happy note.
